As Taiwan’s first National Archives, the project is centered on the concept of an “Archive Vault.” Respecting the site’s original ecology, the building is carefully embedded within the surrounding forest. Its façade features gradient brick-red coated glass, echoing the red-soil sedimentary landscape of Linkou and the accumulation of history over time. The translucent curtain-like upper structure symbolizes openness, transparency, and the digital transmission of information.
