Event | National Archives Opening Ceremony

2025-11-19
The principle architect, Ying-Chao Kuo attended the opening ceremony of the National Archives. The design work began in 2018 by Bio-architecture Formosana is now ready to open to the public on November 22.
For Bio-architecture Formosana, the National Archives is more than just a project. From the site’s natural environment and geological features to the institution’s mission of “preserving history” and “connecting to the future,” the design team continuously reflected on a central question: What should a building that safeguards a nation’s collective memory look like?
In response, the exterior design adopts a color palette inspired by the red soils of the Linkou tableland. The configuration of building volumes and open spaces creates a cultural public space that is truly accessible and welcoming to all.
