Construction | Groundbreaking Ceremony for MOEA New Office Complex

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Design-Build Project for its New Office Complex was recently held. Designed by Bio-Architecture Formosana, led by Principal Architect Ying-Chao Kuo and Hsin-Yi Chen, the project is located at the intersection of Aiguo East Road and Hangzhou South Road in Taipei.
Designed around the principles of sustainability and smart governance, the new office complex aims to achieve Taiwan’s Diamond Green Building certification, Building Energy Efficiency Grade 1+, Silver Intelligent Building certification, and Low-Carbon Building Grade 1+ certification.
Rooftop photovoltaic panels will also be integrated into the design, reflecting the principles of the circular economy and energy conservation while establishing the project as a benchmark for smart net-zero public buildings in Taiwan.
